Course was in great shape. Its not often you play a course that forces you to play every club in your bag. This is my new favorite course. Alittle expensive but you can find great deals online. Only one con greens were in good shape but seemed thin. There were a lot of divots and scuff marks

Terrific course layout (former LPGA venue!) and in good condition for the fall. Owners clearly making improvements with the new clubhouse in the Obici mansion and attention to greens. Looking forward to the spring....I just hope the fees stay amazingly attractive....for VA residents anyway!

New owner making impressive improvments, especially renovation of Obici House (former home of Amadeo Obici, founder of Planters Peanuts) which overlooks the 18th green with fabulous views of Nansemond River. Obici house to become proshop/resturant. Course conditions better now than when course hosted LPGA tournament in 1980s, and equal to/better than some private courses in area.

If you want to improve all aspects of your game, this is the course. It will challenge you tee to green and though the greens are excellent, putting can be a chore also.
